At La Plume, Chef Navinder Saini wanted to carve out a unique spot in the Toronto dining scene, offering a refreshing take on southern French cuisine. Unlike the richer, butter-heavy dishes of traditional French food, La Plume’s menu focuses on lighter, Mediterranean flavors with plenty of fish and fresh ingredients. Chef Saini describes southern French food as more rural, vibrant, and communal, encouraging diners to share dishes with friends and family for a relaxed, social dining experience. This sets the vibe at La Plume apart from its neighbors.
