Colour and Form: 72nd Open Juried Exhibition
Calling all Ontario artists! The 72nd Open Juried Exhibition (OJE) is fast approaching, and this is your chance to showcase your talent at one of Toronto’s most celebrated art exhibitions. Hosted by the Colour and Form Society (CFS), this year’s exhibition will be held at the Etobicoke Civic Centre Art Gallery from October 30 to November 28, 2024.
With $2,500 in prizes up for grabs, the OJE is an incredible opportunity for emerging and established artists to gain recognition, display their original works, and be part of an exciting celebration of creativity.

How to Enter
- Submissions Open: August 17, 2024
- Entry Deadline: September 21, 2024 (midnight)
Submit your entry via the Entry thing portal on the CFS website. Each artist can submit one original artwork for a non-refundable entry fee of $40 (for non-members) or $30 (for CFS members). Accepted media include drawing, painting, sculpture, original prints, and mixed media (no photographic or digital art).
Key Dates to Remember
- October 7-8: Artists will be notified of their acceptance via email.
- October 27: Artwork take-in (9:30 AM – 10:30 AM). Late submissions will not be accepted.
- October 30 – November 28: The exhibition is live at the Etobicoke Civic Centre Art Gallery.
- November 2: Join us for the Opening Reception from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and celebrate the amazing works on display.
- November 29: Artwork pick-up from the gallery (10:00 AM – 11:00 AM).
- November 30: Award winners and all accepted works will be posted online after the live exhibition.
Meet the Jurors
This year’s jurors are a trio of highly respected and talented artists with deep connections to the Canadian art community:
- Lee Munn: A landscape painter with works exhibited across Canada, the U.S., and Europe.
- Maria Iva: An award-winning impressionist painter known for her vibrant, emotionally evocative landscapes.
- Michelle Eissler: A semi-abstract painter who explores fragmented realities in her bold oil paintings.
These esteemed jurors will select the artworks for the show and determine the winners once the exhibition is up.
