Trinbago Toronto Festival 2025 Takes Over Nathan Phillips Square This Weekend

The Trinbago Toronto Festival returns this weekend for a three-day celebration of Trinidad and Tobago culture. From September 5 to 7, the free event will take over Nathan Phillips Square with live music, dance, food, and art right in the heart of the city.

After drawing a large crowd last year, the festival has expanded to a full weekend schedule, offering a packed lineup of entertainment and cultural experiences for all ages.

What to Expect at the Festival

Beyond the main stage performances, the festival offers a full cultural experience. Attendees can try food from various Caribbean vendors, browse a marketplace with local artisans, and see traditional masquerade performers.

The event also aims to foster community connections and support the Caribbean Scholarship Foundation’s programs. Organizers have mentioned a chance for visitors to win a trip to Trinidad and Tobago, with prize details available at the event.

Full Weekend Performance Schedule

The festival features a long list of DJs, musicians, and dance groups across three days.

Friday Night (5 p.m. to 11 p.m.) The festival kicks off with performances from DJ Maceo, Connector, Ren Violin, Crooner, Silhouettes Steel Orchestra, Pan Masters Steel Orchestra, Xhaiden Darius, Tameika Darius, Karene Asche, Black Sage, Myron B, Kersh Ramsey, Gi Beharry, Duvone Stewart, Makeda Darius, and Chris Fire Entertainment.

Saturday (1 p.m. to 10 p.m.) The lineup includes DJ Karyen, Socacize, Mahima Dance Academy, DJ Steph Honey, Dance Caribe, STCC Dance Academy, DJ Shiva, Gi Beharry, Impulse Steel Orchestra, D Enforcas, JFiyre, Kersh Ramsey, Duvone Stewart, Johnny King, DJ Doc, Benjai, and Iwer George.

Sunday (1 p.m. to 7 p.m.) Closing out the weekend are DJ Maceo, Footsteps Dance School, DJ Steph Honey, Ground Shakers Tassa Group, Panman Pat, Marlon D Percussionist, Kersh Ramsey, Black Creek Reign, Earl La Pierre Jr, Duvone Stewart, DJ Doc, Orlando Octave, and Swappi. Tributes are also planned for DJ Wonder Woman and DJ Bad Lad.
