A&W’s Burgers to Beat MS Day Returns August 20 to Support Canadians Living With MS
A&W Canada’s annual Burgers to Beat MS Day returns on August 20, 2026, marking 18 years of supporting Canadians affected by multiple sclerosis (MS).
On the fundraising day, $2 from every Teen Burger sold at participating A&W restaurants across Canada will be donated to MS Canada. Customers can participate through dine-in, takeout, drive-thru, delivery, or A&W App orders.

A Burger Campaign Supporting MS Research and Programs
Since beginning its partnership with MS Canada in 2008, A&W’s Burgers to Beat MS campaign has raised more than $23 million for the MS community.
Funds from the campaign help support MS Canada programs and research focused on:
- Better understanding multiple sclerosis
- Developing new treatments
- Supporting early detection efforts
- Improving services for people affected by MS
MS Canada also provides resources, advocacy, and support programs for individuals living with MS and their families.
Kristen Campbell Joins the Campaign

For 2026, A&W and MS Canada welcome Olympic gold medalist and PWHL Vancouver Goldeneyes goaltender Kristen Campbell as the official spokesperson for Burgers to Beat MS.
Campbell has a personal connection to the cause through her mother, Janet Campbell, who has lived with MS for 27 years.
Through her role in the campaign, Kristen is helping raise awareness about MS and encourage Canadians to support programs and research that assist families affected by the disease.
“My mom, Janet, is my biggest role model. The fact that her MS diagnosis has never stopped her from living a full, happy life shows just how far research and treatments have progressed,” says Campbell.
Canadians Supporting Canadians
Canada has one of the highest rates of MS in the world, with approximately 12 Canadians diagnosed every day.
Because MS affects more than the person diagnosed, the disease can also impact families, friends, and communities.
Burgers to Beat MS gives Canadians a simple way to support those affected by MS while enjoying an A&W Teen Burger.
