Step-by-Step Guide to Making Christmas Chocolate Bark

@jenan_zammar

Chocolate Bark!! I preheated my oven to 170°. Placed dark, milk and white chocolate on a parchment lined baking sheet and baked for 10 minutes. The chocolate was perfectly melted to create those beautiful swirls using a wooden skewer. While the chocolate was still wet, I added the toppings. I used candy cane chocolate kisses, peppermint M&m’s, crushed candy cane and snowflake sprinkles. The whole tray went into the freezer for about 20 minutes to harden then I broke it up into random pieces. 1: Prep Your Cookie Sheet

Begin by lining your cookie sheet with parchment paper. Let it overhang the edges; this will help you lift the chocolate bark out later. This step is crucial to prevent sticking, so don’t skip it!

2: Prepare the First Layer
  1. Melt the Semi-Sweet Chocolate: You can use a microwave or stovetop until it’s nice and smooth.
  2. Spread the Chocolate: Pour the melted chocolate onto your prepared cookie sheet. Use your spatula or knife to spread it evenly.
  3. Chill: Place the cookie sheet in the fridge for about 1 hour to let the chocolate set.
3: Create the Second Layer
  1. Melt the White Chocolate: Once the first layer is solid, melt the white chocolate until smooth.
  2. Pour and Spread: Pour the melted white chocolate over the semi-sweet layer, spreading it evenly.
  3. Add Color: With your food coloring, add 7-10 drops of red and green randomly on top. Use a knife or spatula to swirl them together gently.
4: Decorate with Toppings

Now comes the fun part! Sprinkle your M&M’s, dark chocolate chips, sprinkles, and crushed peppermint all over the top. Get creative and make it festive!

5: Final Chill

Return the cookie sheet to the fridge for another hour, or until the chocolate bark is completely solid.
