Starbucks Brings Back Eggnog Latte and Chestnut Praline Latte for 2025
Starbucks is kicking off December with two major holiday returns. The Eggnog Latte and the Chestnut Praline Latte will be back on the menu starting December 2, 2025, after being absent for several years. The update immediately sparked interest across Canada and the U.S., especially since customers have repeatedly asked for the Eggnog Latte to return.
A Return Driven by Customer Requests
Starbucks decided to bring the Eggnog Latte back after years of steady demand. This time, the Canadian version uses free-run Canadian eggs, giving the drink a refreshed base. Customers can order it hot or iced, and the chain is also introducing a new Eggnog Cream Cold Foam that pairs well with iced coffees and cold brew.
Meanwhile, the Chestnut Praline Latte also returns for 2025. It first joined the holiday lineup in 2014, and it remains one of the brand’s most recognized seasonal drinks. By bringing both beverages back, Starbucks is leaning into nostalgia and responding directly to customer feedback.
Holiday Menu Rollout Started in Early November
Starbucks launched the first half of its holiday lineup on November 6, 2025. The early release included the Peppermint Mocha, Caramel Brûlée Latte, Iced Sugar Cookie Latte, and Iced Gingerbread Chai. The bakery lineup also returned with the Cranberry Bliss Bar, Sugar Plum Cheese Danish, Snowman Cookie, and the new Cinnamon Pull-Apart Bread.
Because Starbucks released most items early, the December drop adds momentum to the season. The staggered rollout ensures that customers have a reason to return throughout the holidays.
Updated Holiday Cups and Seasonal Merch
Along with the drinks, Starbucks introduced new red-and-green holiday cup designs. The patterns pull inspiration from ribbon shapes and the classic green barista apron. In addition, the company released a limited “bearista” collectible cup, and stores expect this item to sell quickly.
Since both returning drinks have been off the menu for years, some locations may run out faster than usual. Starbucks Rewards members may receive early updates or local availability alerts, depending on the region.
What to Expect Through December
The December 2 release completes the 2025 holiday menu. Both drinks should remain available through late December and into early January, although stock can vary. Because holiday beverages tend to disappear as soon as supplies run out, customers may want to order earlier in the season.
