Shake Shack is growing in Toronto. The burger chain is adding six more locations across the GTA. Buzz from earlier launches in downtown, Union Station, and Yorkdale was strong. The newest outposts will create over 400 jobs. Each restaurant will use Canadian ingredients and highlight local art. There’s plenty for both food lovers and job seekers to anticipate.

Kitchen Hub Castlefield, located at 1121 Castlefield Ave, is already serving the York area. It sits inside a modern food market focused on takeout. The spot is a quick stop for burgers or fries after work. Murals by Toronto artists give the walls a local touch. Even if you stop by for a fast meal, you’ll spot work from the city’s creative community.

Square One Shopping Centre (Mississauga)

Opening August 19, 2025, the Square One Shake Shack sits at 100 City Centre Dr. The mall draws visitors from all over the GTA. Art by Indigenous creator Blake Angeconeb is part of the décor. Guests can use the patio for a quick break from shopping. Even in a busy mall, there’s a sense of community in the design.

Yonge & Eglinton (Midtown Toronto)

The Yonge & Eglinton location at 40 Eglinton Ave E will open in Fall 2025. It’s set to become a go-to for both locals and workers. Custom murals by Toronto muralist Kirsten McCrea line the walls. Shakes made with Canadian dairy point to a local sourcing focus. Everything from the art to the menu is tied to the neighborhood.

Vaughan Mills

Vaughan Mills gets Shake Shack in Fall 2025 at 1 Bass Pro Mills Dr. It’s designed for busy shoppers who want quick meals. This site uses a more compact layout, but it keeps the same quality. Local art is on display inside. You’ll notice the community’s influence everywhere you look.

Artwork from Toronto creators adds character and connects it to its street. It’s a place to enjoy lunch, meet up after work, or hang out on a weekend.

Mid-2026 will bring Shake Shack to 765 Yonge St at the old Albert Britnell Bookstore site. The spot blends old elements with new design touches. Staff are ready to welcome everyone, from students to commuters. Inside, you’ll find finishes that nod to the building’s past. It’s set to become a popular stop at this busy city corner.

Shake Shack’s latest expansion brings more than burgers. Each location blends menu choices, local design, and neighborhood energy. The company draws on Canadian artists and regional food suppliers. Openings continue through 2026. Watch shacks.ca for updates as the restaurants get closer to opening. Curious about more food news in Toronto?
