Jackalope Mississauga: Action Sports Festival Returns With Skateboarding, BMX and Base Jumping
Jackalope Mississauga is returning on July 10 to 12, 2026, at Celebration Square and the Square One parking lot, with free admission for spectators all three days. The festival brings together skateboarders, BMX riders, BASE jumpers, and motocross athletes from across Canada and abroad for street and vert skateboarding competitions, bouldering, breaking battles, and Moto X demos, alongside DJ sets, food trucks, and pop-up shops running the entire weekend.
Now in its third year, the event has grown into one of the biggest action sports gatherings in Ontario, drawing tens of thousands of people to downtown Mississauga. Here’s the full schedule and what’s new this year.
Jackalope Festival Third Year In Mississauga
Jackalope, launched in Montreal in 2012 by TRIBU, aimed to showcase action sports and provide a proper stage for skate, BMX, and BASE-jumping communities. It stayed a Montreal-only event for a decade before expanding for the first time in 2023, when it launched in Virginia Beach as its first stop in the US.
And starting in 2024, Mississauga will be the first stop for the festival outside Quebec within Canada. The Jackalope Mississauga edition pulled in over 50,000 people to Celebration Square and Square One, which is why the city and Visit Mississauga signed on for a multi-year run. 2026 marks the third consecutive year Jackalope has set up here, and several of its core sports, skateboarding, bouldering, and breaking, are now Olympic events, which has only pushed more attention onto festivals like this one.
What’s New for 2026
This year’s lineup brings in Bob Burnquist, one of the most recognized names in skateboarding and someone a lot of people know from the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater games. Having him at the festival is a bigger deal than it might sound, since he doesn’t show up to just any event.
There’s also an adaptive skate demo on the schedule this time, which wasn’t part of previous years, giving adaptive athletes their own spot in the programming instead of folding them into the main competitions. A rock climbing monolith has been added too, so bouldering fans get a proper structure to watch instead of a smaller setup.

The festival runs three days, Friday, July 10, through Sunday, July 12, with free admission for spectators of all ages. While competitions and demos are the main draw, JACKALOPE also builds out food trucks, bars, DJ sets, and pop-up shops around the athletic programming, so there’s plenty to do between events even if you’re not watching every heat. Anyone who wants to skate the ramps themselves rather than just watch needs a Shredder Pass, and a VIP Pass is available for elevated viewing and added perks for those who want a more comfortable weekend.
2026 also brings a bigger presence from Bob Burnquist, now serving as JACKALOPE’s Global Ambassador and Strategic Partner, alongside a custom-built skatepark designed by California Skateparks, the same team behind SLS and X Games courses.

Watching is free all weekend, but if you actually want to get on a board, compete, or get some face time with the athletes, here’s what it’ll cost you.
Want to skate the ramps yourself? A Shredder Pass runs $67.80 for either the Street or Vert course. If you’re under 15 and want to compete instead of just riding open sessions, the Street Grom and Vert Grom categories are also $67.80, and there’s a Mini Ramp Pup Cup for the under-7 crowd at $33.90.
If you’re an adult looking to actually compete, the Street Open is $169.50 and the Vert Open is $141.25.
Never skated before? There’s a Skateboarding Basics session with Aunty Skates and Friends for $20, which is the cheapest way to get hands-on instruction all weekend. Heads up though, the separate Beginner Mini Ramp Sessions with Aunty Skates are already sold out, so don’t wait around if that one’s on your list.
Want to meet the athletes directly? Meet & Greet passes are $113.
And if you’d rather skip the crowd and watch from somewhere better, the VIP Pass is $226 for the full weekend.
