Ontario Chefs Unite at Littlejohn Farm for a Summer Harvest Celebration in Prince Edward County

Prince Edward County will welcome a group of Ontario chefs and hospitality leaders this August as Littlejohn Farm hosts the Summer Harvest Celebration, a one-day culinary event focused on seasonal ingredients, local agriculture, and collaboration.

Taking place on Monday, August 17, 2026, the event will connect farmers, chefs, and guests through chef-led tasting stations, guided farm tours, and a seated harvest dinner.

Hosted by chef, sommelier, and farmer Zach Littlejohn, the afternoon will feature culinary talent from some of Ontario’s recognized restaurants. Each chef will create a canapé using ingredients grown and harvested at Littlejohn Farm.

Meanwhile, the event will highlight a range of culinary influences, including Japanese, Cantonese, Korean, Italian, Mediterranean, and contemporary Canadian cuisine.

Chefs From Across Ontario Join the Summer Harvest Celebration

The Summer Harvest Celebration will bring together chefs and hospitality leaders from across the province. Together, they will showcase how different culinary backgrounds can work with Ontario-grown ingredients.

Participating restaurants and chefs include:

Lunch Lady Toronto — Allan Lu, Chef de Cuisine. The restaurant was featured on Canada’s 100 Best Recommends List 2026.

Lai Wah Heen — Heyden Sin, Executive Chef. The Toronto restaurant is known for Cantonese cuisine and has received recognition from the Chinese Restaurant Awards Elite 30 Canada 2025 Top 50 Honourees.

Aburi TORA — Young Son, Head Chef. The restaurant focuses on modern Japanese dining and ABURI sushi.

Miku Toronto — Ben Nam, Sous Chef, alongside Oliver Robles, General Manager. Miku is part of ABURI Restaurants Canada and focuses on Japanese cuisine and waterfront dining.

Lyla Toronto — Daniel Kim, Executive Chef; Seungho Jeon, Sous Chef; and Walter Reis, Head Bartender and Bar Manager. The restaurant combines coastal Mediterranean flavours with Southern European influences.

Radici Project — Emiliano Del Frate, Co-Owner and Head Chef. The restaurant ranked No. 7 on Toronto Life’s 2026 Best New Restaurants list.

No Vacancy — Brian Kang, Head Chef. The Toronto restaurant and bar has gained recognition within the hospitality industry.

156 ONE FIVE SIX — Myeongseok Jeong, Head Chef and Partner. The restaurant features Korean fusion cuisine and received recognition from the MICHELIN Guide.

Odd Duck — Jon Rennie, Culinary Director. The Waterloo restaurant and wine bar appears in the MICHELIN Guide.

Chef-Created Canapés Highlight Littlejohn Farm Ingredients

Each participating chef will create a canapé specifically for the event using ingredients grown and harvested at Littlejohn Farm.

In addition, every dish will reflect the chef’s own culinary background, techniques, and approach to seasonal produce.

Guests will have the chance to learn more about the ideas behind each creation while visiting the chef-led tasting stations throughout the property.

A Farm-Based Culinary Afternoon

Starting at 3:00 p.m., guests can visit tasting stations located throughout Littlejohn Farm.

Alongside the food program, attendees can join guided farm tours and learn more about the fields, gardens, and ingredients behind the menu.

Additionally, the event will feature cocktails prepared by Walter Reis of Lyla using Valley of Mother of God Gin. Guests can also enjoy still and sparkling water provided by San Pellegrino.

The afternoon will provide a closer look at how farming and culinary techniques come together through Ontario ingredients.

A Harvest Dinner Inspired by Ontario Ingredients

FFollowing the tasting stations, Littlejohn Farm owner and chef Zach Littlejohn will prepare a family-style seated dinner featuring ingredients from the farm and surrounding region.

The menu will include:

  • Roast chicken and piglet
  • Seasonal vegetable dishes
  • Wine pairings from Closson Chase Vineyards

Furthermore, several dishes will feature collaborations between participating chefs.

One highlighted collaboration will bring together Jon Rennie of Odd Duck and Heyden Sin of Lai Wah Heen, combining Canadian ingredients with Cantonese culinary influences.

The dinner will show how different culinary perspectives can come together while keeping Ontario agriculture at the centre of the menu.
