Shake Shack sets opening dates for Oakville and Burlington
Halton burger fans, your drive to Toronto for a ShackBurger is about to get a lot shorter. Shake Shack Canada has confirmed opening dates for its first two locations in Oakville and Burlington.

The Oakville Shack opens on Wednesday, November 18, and Burlington follows on Friday, December 4. Both mark the brand’s push west of the GTA, after two years of opening mostly in Toronto and nearby malls.
Here is where the new spots are, what is on the menu and what comes next.
Shake Shack Oakville and Burlington quick details
- Oakville: 275 Hays Blvd., Oakville, opening Wednesday, November 18, 2026
- Burlington: 4511 Dundas St., Burlington, opening Friday, December 4, 2026
- Hours: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. at both locations
Where to Find The New Shacks
The Oakville location sits at 275 Hays Blvd., in the growing area around Trafalgar Road and Dundas Street East. It opens first, giving north Oakville a new late-night burger option just in time for the holiday rush.
Burlington’s Shack opens at 4511 Dundas St. a little over two weeks later. Both restaurants keep the same hours, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., so a late dinner or a post-movie shake is on the table.
What is On The Menu
Expect the Shake Shack classics. The menu centres on Angus beef burgers and crispy chicken sandwiches made with whole white meat.
On the side, you will find crinkle-cut fries, which have a strong fan base of their own. Hand-spun shakes and frozen custard round out the order for anyone saving room for dessert.
If you have not tried it before, frozen custard is richer and denser than regular soft serve, thanks to the egg yolk in the mix. It is the base for the shakes too, which explains why they are so thick. Grab a spoon, because a straw will not get you far.
Shake Shack Canada says it uses 100 per cent premium Canadian ingredients. That is a nice bonus for anyone who likes to eat local.
Shake Shack’s Growing Ontario Lineup
Shake Shack arrived in Canada in 2024 with its first restaurant at Yonge and Dundas in downtown Toronto. Since then, it has opened locations at Union Station, Yorkdale, Yonge and Eglinton, Square One in Mississauga and Vaughan Mills.
This year alone, the brand added new Toronto restaurants on King Street West and Yonge Street. It also made its move into Alberta with locations in Calgary.
The company behind the Canadian rollout is a partnership between two Canadian private investment companies, Osmington Inc. and Harlo Entertainment Inc. It plans to open at least 35 locations across the country.
A Drive-Thru Is Coming To London
The next Ontario stop after Burlington is London, which gets a Shake Shack in 2027. That location will be the first in Ontario with a drive-thru, so you can order a burger without leaving the car.
Shake Shack Canada has not shared an exact opening date for London yet. For now, Halton is the newest stop on the map.
Plan Your First Visit
Shake Shack Oakville opens November 18, and the Burlington location opens December 4. Both run from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. New openings often draw lines, so a weekday visit may be the easier call.
