The Three-Course Dinner at Odd Duck

At Odd Duck, culinary director and co-founder Jon Rennie is planning three courses around observation, invention and transformation. Those ideas connect the restaurant menu to the themes of Leonardo da Vinci – 500 Years of Genius.

The kitchen’s approach changes with the seasons, while wine plays a central role in its food program. Specific dishes have not been announced. The $85 price covers the three-course menu, but the release does not specify wine costs.

Reservations are required, and seatings are limited. Diners should share dietary restrictions at least 48 hours in advance so the kitchen can review their requests.

Dinner guests can also receive a 15% discount voucher for THESTORE when purchasing an exhibition ticket. Admission to the museum is not listed as part of the dinner price.

Three Italian Cooking Classes, From Pasta to Polenta

Odd Duck will also bring its cooking team to THEMUSEUM for three Wednesday evening demonstrations. Each workshop centres on one dish, with opportunities for volunteers to assist the chef.

  • November 11, 2026 — Fresh orecchiette: Pasta with tomato and pecorino sauce, herb oil and quick-pickled fennel.
  • January 20, 2027 — Risotto: A creamy version with roasted winter squash, caramelized cipollini onion and pickled eggplant.
  • February 17, 2027 — Polenta: Saffron polenta with braised beef shank and fresh gremolata.

The evening starts with snacks from Odd Duck. After the demonstration, each attendee takes home prepared ingredients and components to finish the featured dish for two people.

THEMUSEUM lists the sessions from 6 to 9 p.m. The announcement says doors open at 6:15 p.m., with programming starting at 6:30 p.m.

Guests can purchase drinks from THELOUNGE during the event. THEMUSEUM says drink purchases are card-only.

What Comes With a Cooking-Class Ticket

A single class costs $75 plus HST. The three-part pass costs $200 plus HST, saving $25 before tax compared with separate tickets.

Each ticket includes the chef-led demonstration, welcome snacks, take-home ingredients for two, exhibition admission and a 15% discount voucher for THESTORE. Organizers are limiting each workshop to 30 participants.

No professional cooking background is required. Attendees can watch the demonstration or volunteer when the chef invites people to help.

Inside Leonardo da Vinci – 500 Years of Genius

The food program draws on THEMUSEUM’s Leonardo da Vinci exhibition, which covers his interests in art, science, engineering and invention. Visitors can see life-sized machine recreations, interactive installations and a gallery depicting Italian cities.

The exhibition was developed with Museo Leonardo da Vinci in Rome. THEMUSEUM says it will remain open until February 21, 2027, and is included with general admission.

How to Book the Dinner and Classes

The limited-run dinner is planned between October 2026 and February 2027. Check Odd Duck’s Tock page for bookable dates and the current menu before making plans.

For classes, THEMUSEUM’s event listings provide individual dates and ticket links. The Leonardo exhibition page explains separate museum admission for dinner guests.
