Meanwhile, Mississauga’s well-known Vietnamese restaurant, Pho Ngoc Yen, confirmed it will open a new location in the heart of the city this spring. The move comes after years of steady buzz and loyal customers making long trips just to get a taste of their signature bowls. Throughout that time, the family behind the restaurant has stayed focused on fresh ingredients, deep flavour, and generous portions.

Pho Ngoc Yen built its reputation on rich broths, slow-cooked meats, and warm, family-style hospitality. While many overlooked its industrial park location in Mississauga, word spread fast. quickly standing out in the GTA’s food scene since 2018. Locals and food lovers alike kept coming back for the deep flavours and consistent quality. The demand surged and accolades followed. The restaurant landed multiple spots on Yelp’s Top 100 Places to Eat in Canada and secured a Canadian Choice Award in 2024. As the word spread and demand grew, they expanded and opened a second outpost Etobicoke in summer 2023.
