Ingredients

Here’s everything you’ll need to create this decadent dessert:

  • 50g Coles Organic Unsalted Butter
  • 1 tbsp golden syrup
  • 4 x 53g Mars Bars, finely chopped
  • 3 cups (60g) rice bubbles
  • 200g CADBURY Baking Milk Chocolate
  • 20g copha

How to Make Christmas Mars Bar Slice

Step 1: Prepare the Pan

Start by greasing and lining a 19 x 29cm slice pan with baking paper, leaving the sides to overhang. This will make removing the slice a breeze once it’s set.

Step 2: Melt the Mars Bars

In a medium saucepan, combine:

  • The butter
  • Golden syrup
  • 3 of the finely chopped Mars Bars

Cook over low heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon, until the mixture is melted and smooth. Remove from heat and set aside.

Step 3: Mix the Base

In a large mixing bowl, combine:

  • The rice bubbles
  • The remaining chopped Mars Bar

Pour the melted Mars Bar mixture over the top and stir until everything is evenly coated. Transfer the mixture into the prepared pan and press it down firmly with the back of a spoon to create a smooth, even surface. Allow it to cool completely at room temperature for about 1 hour.

Step 4: Create the Chocolate Topping

Place the chocolate and copha in a heatproof bowl set over a saucepan of simmering water. Stir gently until the chocolate and copha melt into a glossy mixture. Pour the melted chocolate over the cooled slice, spreading it evenly to coat the top.

Let the chocolate set at room temperature for about 30 minutes.

Step 5: Slice and Serve

Once the chocolate has set, use the baking paper to lift the slice from the pan. Cut it into squares and serve this indulgent treat to your lucky guests!

Tips for Festive Twists

  • Decorate: For a festive touch, add Christmas sprinkles or crushed candy canes to the chocolate layer before it sets.
  • Swap It Up: Experiment with different chocolate bars like Snickers or Twix for a unique flavor.
  • Gift-Worthy: Wrap squares in festive packaging for a homemade holiday gift.

This Christmas Mars Bar Slice is not just a dessert—it’s a crowd-pleaser that’s easy to make and impossible to resist. Perfect for sharing (or not!), it’s bound to be a holiday favorite.

Let me know if you try it, and happy holiday baking.
