Frozen Fruit Popsicles: Healthy and Refreshing Summer Treats
Hot days call for cold snacks—and let’s be honest, most of us are looking for something that hits the sweet spot without a sugar overload. Frozen fruit popsicles fit the bill. They’re cold, colorful, and smart from a nutritional standpoint. Whether you make them at home or pick up a box at the store, these simple snacks manage to be both practical and satisfying.

Ingredients
Here how you bring it all together:
Fruits: You can choose fresh or frozen fruits, as many or as few as you like. Strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, mango, pineapple, and watermelon are just a couple of examples.
Liquid Base: You can choose any liquid you like, such as water, coconut water, fruit juice, almond milk, or yogurt.
Optional Add-Ins: Sweeteners like honey, maple syrup, or even vanilla extract can be added for some extra flavour.
Steps on how to make Frozen Fruit Popsicles
Step 1: Prepare the Fruit
Wash, peel, and chop your fruit into small pieces. If using frozen fruit, let it thaw slightly for easier blending.
Step 2: Blend the Base
Add your fruit and the liquid of your choice to a blender. Blend until smooth. For chunkier pops, pulse briefly to leave small fruit bits. For creamy pops, add yogurt before blending. Taste the mixture—if it’s too tart, add a little honey or syrup.
Step 3: Adjust Consistency (Optional)
If your mixture is too thick to pour, add a bit more liquid. If it’s too thin, add more fruit or a spoonful of chia seeds.
Step 4: Pour into Molds
Carefully pour the blended mixture into popsicle molds. Leave about ÂĽ inch at the top to allow for expansion as they freeze.
Step 5: Insert Sticks
Place the sticks into the molds. If your mold doesn’t have built-in stick holders, cover the mold with foil and poke the sticks through to hold them upright.
Step 6: Freeze
Place molds in the freezer for at least 4–6 hours, or until fully frozen. Overnight works best for a solid freeze.
Step 7: Unmold and Serve
To remove the popsicles, run warm water over the outside of the mold for 10–20 seconds. Gently pull the sticks to release the pops.
Storage Tip:
Store popsicles in the mold or transfer to a sealed freezer bag or container with parchment paper between them to prevent sticking.
