Distillery District Oktoberfest 2026 Brings a 150-Foot Bier Hall to Trinity Street

Distillery District Oktoberfest 2026 is taking over Toronto’s historic neighbourhood for three weekends of German-inspired food, Mill Street beer, live music, games and free programming. The celebration runs September 19–20, September 26–27 and October 3–4, with festival activities scheduled from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. each day.

Opening weekend also brings something new to Trinity Street: a ticketed 150-foot outdoor Bier Hall table where guests can sit down for an Oktoberfest feast.

Distillery District Oktoberfest Runs for Three Weekends

The main Oktoberfest programming takes place around Trinity Square and the Pure Spirits Courtyard, with free entertainment running across all six festival dates.

The Black Forest Band is scheduled to perform in Trinity Square from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. during the first five festival days. On Sunday, October 4, The Happy Wanderers take over the afternoon slot with music inspired by Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Live entertainment continues in the Pure Spirits Courtyard from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. each festival day.

A 150-Foot Bier Hall Takes Over Trinity Street

The biggest addition for 2026 arrives during First Pour Weekend on September 19 and 20.

A long communal Bier Hall table will stretch approximately 150 feet along Trinity Street, giving ticket holders a reserved seat for an Oktoberfest-inspired meal. Recent event information confirms the opening-weekend dining experience costs $30 plus HST per person.

Each ticket includes:

  • An Oktoberfest sausage
  • Bavarian fries
  • A pretzel with accompaniments
  • A stein of Mill Street Festbier
  • A seat at the Trinity Street Bier Hall table

A vegetarian sausage option can be selected when booking. The ticketed Bier Hall experience is 19+ only.

The experience also includes table games, polka music, a photo booth and other Oktoberfest activities, plus a complimentary newsprint keepsake from Alley Press.

First Pour Weekend Hours

Ticketed dining is available during these windows:

  • Saturday, September 19: 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Sunday, September 20: 2 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

What to Eat at Distillery District Oktoberfest

You do not need a Bier Hall ticket to check out the wider festival.

A special Oktoberfest menu will be served from the Pure Spirits smoker throughout the three weekends. Confirmed menu highlights include:

  • Currywurst poutine
  • Chicken schnitzel Kaiser sandwich
  • Spätzle and cheese
  • Smoked brisket Reuben
  • Oktoberfest sausages
  • Warm pretzels

Mill Street beer will also be part of the celebration, with Festbier featured during the ticketed opening-weekend feast.

For Toronto food lovers, this is probably the easiest way to experience the festival without committing to the ticketed meal: drop into the courtyard, grab something from the Oktoberfest menu and stay for the afternoon or evening entertainment.

Beer Pong, Trivia and Live Music

There is more happening than food and beer.

Every Saturday from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., the Pure Spirits Courtyard hosts an Oktoberfest beer-pong tournament.

On Sundays from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., the courtyard switches to Oktoberfest trivia with Quizmaster Jess. The winner receives a $50 gift card, and advance registration is not required for either activity.
