If you’ve ever been curious about Japanese culture or just love spending a sunny afternoon outdoors with awesome music, then “Celebrate Japan in Scarborough!” is the event you’ve been waiting for.

Hosted by the incredible Nagata Shachu, a Toronto-based taiko group renowned for its dynamic performances, this event brings Japan’s sights and sounds to your local park. 

And the best part? It’s free, and everyone’s invited!

Nagata Shachu brings their thunderous taiko performances to Alexmuir Park, transforming it into a hub of Japanese culture. The ensemble is known for its high-energy performances that blend traditional Japanese folk drumming with contemporary flair.

Celebrate Japan in Scarborough! starts with a 30-minute hands-on workshop where you can learn the basics of taiko drumming. This isn’t just for the pros.

Live Taiko Concert
