Toronto Jamaican Patty Shop Opens New Pop-Up at Eaton Centre

Toronto Jamaican patty shop Randy’s is taking its legendary patties beyond Oakwood Village. Known for its flaky crust and rich fillings since 1979, Randy’s is launching a pop-up inside the Queen’s Cross Food Hall at the Eaton Centre. This move brings one of the city’s most beloved patty makers to the downtown core—just in time for summer cravings.
The new location opens on April 25 and will run through August. It’s Randy’s first-ever downtown location and part of a rotating pop-up series hosted by Queen’s Cross, run by hospitality group Oliver & Bonacini.
Why Randy’s Patties Stands Out
The beloved Toronto Jamaican patty shop, Randy’s, has been a go-to destination for generations of locals and visitors craving authentic Caribbean flavors. Despite facing a challenging two-and-a-half-year closure caused by ongoing area construction and staffing shortages, the shop made a return in August 2024, drawing long lines and wide media attention. Its reopening marked not just a comeback, but a reaffirmation of its cultural and culinary significance in the city.
Now, fans from across Toronto won’t need to make the trek to its original Eglinton West location to get their hands on a warm, flaky patty. Randy’s is bringing its iconic bites downtown for the first time ever, with a limited-time pop-up in one of the city’s busiest shopping centers.
