The baby, a mystery for now, is Musk’s third with Shivon Zilis. The news leaked from a Bloomberg article discussing Musk’s worries about falling birth rates. Musk soon addressed the surprise, saying, “Everyone close to us knows. No press release needed, that’d be weird, not ‘secret,” shared in Page Six.

This statement hints that Musk sees family matters as personal, not public announcements, especially when it comes to his kids’ lives. It fits with his overall take on privacy. He’s a big shot, but he also wants a life outside the spotlight, and his new baby is no different.

This preference for privacy extends to Zilis as well. The Yale graduate and Neuralink executive appears to share Musk’s sentiment. Their collective decision to shield their child’s early life from public scrutiny shows their commitment to prioritizing family over media attention. Zilis’ Canadian background and residence in Ontario further contribute to this low-key approach.

Elon Musk’s stance on family size is well-documented. In a 2022 interview, he expressed his admiration for large families and his intention to have “as many (kids) as I am able to spend time with and be a good father.” This philosophy is evident in his expanding family, which includes six children with his former spouse Justine Wilson and three with singer Grimes.

While Elon Musk is busy changing the world with his inventions, he also wants to protect his loved ones from the spotlight’s glare.
