Día Restaurant Yorkville Poutine Launches Limited-Time Global-Inspired Menu This July

Día Restaurant Yorkville Poutine is taking center stage this Canada Day as Día Restaurant & Lounge marks the occasion with a limited-time menu that reworks one of the country’s most recognizable comfort foods through international flavour influences.

Available from July 1 to July 31, the feature menu is served exclusively at the second-floor restaurant inside Canopy by Hilton Toronto Yorkville. The concept takes traditional poutine and reinterprets it through global culinary styles, offering a lineup built around contrast, layering, and cross-cultural inspiration.

A Chef-Led Approach to Reinventing Poutine

The menu is created by Executive Chef Justin Raponi, who is known for applying international techniques to familiar dishes. Rather than presenting poutine in its traditional format, the new lineup explores how sauces, proteins, and spice profiles from different cuisines can reshape the dish.

Each version is designed as a standalone interpretation, reflecting both Canadian food culture and global street food influences.

Guests can also choose a poutine flight, selecting three variations in one order. This format allows for comparison across different flavour profiles and encourages shared dining.

Eight Global Variations of a Canadian Favourite

The feature menu includes eight limited-time creations:

  • The “Oh Canada” – braised beef gravy, maple bacon, cheese curds, crispy shallots
  • East Coast Donair – donair beef, tomato, onion, sweet garlic sauce
  • Butter Chicken – butter chicken sauce, cilantro, pickled onion, mint yogurt
  • Montreal Smoked Meat – peppercorn gravy, mustard aioli, pickle slaw
  • The “Hat Trick” – smoked bacon, pulled beef, sausage, gravy
  • Korean BBQ – bulgogi beef, gochujang gravy, kimchi, sesame
  • Nashville Hot Chicken – crispy chicken, spicy gravy, ranch, pickles
  • Mexi-Can – chorizo, jalapeño, queso sauce, pico de gallo, Tajín crema

Each dish keeps the foundation of poutine while introducing ingredients and sauces inspired by different culinary regions.

A Limited Summer Offering in Yorkville

The poutine menu is available only for July, positioning Día as a seasonal dining destination during Canada Day celebrations and the peak summer period in Toronto.

Located above street level in Yorkville, the restaurant continues to focus on globally influenced cuisine within a modern hotel dining environment. The menu is designed for both visitors and locals looking for something different from traditional summer fare.
