Brokn Milk Opens New Ice Cream Shop Across from Christie Pits Park

Brokn Milk officially opened on July 3 at 151 Barton Avenue, directly across from the northeast corner of Christie Pits Park. The new shop has taken over a former convenience store and now serves handcrafted ice cream made with locally sourced ingredients.

The business first gained a following through pop-ups at Big Trouble Pizza and Tiny’s General Store before opening its first permanent storefront.

What’s on the Menu?

Rather than sticking to the same flavours year-round, Brokn Milk plans to rotate its menu regularly. The shop uses ingredients from local businesses, including chocolate from Soul Chocolate and coffee from Subtext Coffee Roasters, creating seasonal combinations throughout the year.

That means each visit could come with something new to try alongside returning favourites.

A Sweet Stop After the Park

Christie Pits Park draws visitors throughout the summer for baseball games, picnics, the outdoor pool, and its wide open green space. Until now, there haven’t been many proper ice cream options within a short walk of the park.

With Brokn Milk now open nearby, grabbing a scoop after an afternoon outdoors has become a little easier.
