Delicious Food at The Mimico Food Fest
A fun day filled with delicious food, fun activities, and live music. Mimico Food Fest 2024 took over Mimico Square, and was definitely a memorable event. We got to explore an amazing lineup of tasty eats, local food products, sauces, baked goods, and more, all from small businesses and foodpreneurs. We came with empty bellies and left with good memories and 5 extra pounds (from all the food we ate).
There was live music, activities for the kids, and the beautiful Mimico Waterfront just steps away to make the day even better. This event was hosted by Local MRKT and the Mimico Residents Association, with sponsorship from Great Lakes Brewery, this food fest was definitely a summer highlight.

What We Tried
We Burger
We Burger is all about bringing next-level flavor to your burger experience. Born out of a backyard barbecue during the pandemic, Renato took an old recipe from his bar in Brazil, and it became an instant hit. Now, with Tati on board and their signature cake in a jar on the menu, We Burger is serving up delicious, handcrafted bites with a unique twist.
We got to try their delicious We Smithville and We Niagara and boy were we in for a treat. From the fresh toppings and soft brioche buns to their juicy grilled beef and crunchy fried chicken patties, these burgers were beyond delicious and packed with insane flavours that will leave you wanting another bite. As if that wasn’t enough, the We Smithsville burger was dipped in a rich cheese wine sauce that was very messy but very worth it. It was the perfect mix of freshness, good quality, and cheese that made them all the more irresistible.
Koshaa Fine Indian Cuisine
Koshaa Fine Indian Cuisine brings the rich, authentic flavors of India to your plate. Inspired by the Sanskrit word “Koshaa,” representing layers of experience, they aim to take you on a flavorful journey—from the first bite to a blissful finish. Their curated menu celebrates traditional Indian dishes, freshly prepared daily with high-quality local ingredients. If you’re craving an unforgettable Indian dining experience, Koshaa is where taste and tradition come together.
We got to try their mango lassi and chickpea and rice. It was an explosion of flavours in our mouths. The medley of Indian spices in the chickpea and rice was perfectly balanced and paired well with the fruity velvety mango lassi which washed it all down.
