A backyard on Ossington Avenue is getting an unusual addition: a small geodesic dome built for guided therapy and creative reflection.

The Intraspective Imaginarium is set to open on Friday, October 30, 2026, behind Mindful Maelstrom Wellness Clinic at 91 Ossington Avenue. Founder Kristina Dragnea, a registered psychotherapist, designed the space for small-group sessions centred on dreams, emotions and recurring patterns.

The tea-tinted glass dome holds up to six people. Alongside longer psychotherapy programmes, organizers plan Thursday evening drop-ins for people interested in a shorter introduction to the approach.

Quick Details

  • Opening date: Friday, October 30, 2026
  • Location: Mindful Maelstrom Wellness Clinic, 91 Ossington Avenue, Toronto
  • Launch highlight: Unveiling of a 16-foot pink neon sign at 6 p.m., plus a look inside the dome
  • Group size: Up to six participants for therapist-facilitated sessions
  • Coming up: Thursday evening public drop-ins planned for the fall; sign-ups announced for launch day

What Happens Inside The Dome

The dome is more than an alternative room for a conversation. Dragnea plans to use guided imagery, sound baths, storytelling, collage and Jungian active imagination during therapist-led group sessions.

Some activities involve reflecting on a dream or a familiar emotional response. Others ask participants to work with images, paint, drawings or written notes. These creative exercises provide another way to discuss feelings that may be difficult to put into words.

The small group format also shapes the setting. With a maximum of six participants, sessions can focus on individual reflections and shared discussion rather than a large workshop audience.

How The Intraspective Method Works

The programme follows Dragnea’s Intraspective Method. It combines elements of contemporary psychology with symbolic storytelling, body awareness and guided reflection. A central idea is that people develop different inner roles in response to relationships and life events.

The method calls these roles Archetypal Characters. Through conversation and creative work, participants examine their habits and emotional responses. The focus is understanding patterns rather than labelling every behaviour.

According to the launch announcement, the clinical route starts with 11 to 20 individual psychotherapy sessions. Participants may then continue into an optional 11-week group psychotherapy programme. A separate self-guided route is also part of the offering.

A Field Guide For Dreams, Art And Reflection

Participants can use The Dreamer’s Field Guide to track observations between sessions. The book provides space for writing, guided prompts, drawings and collages that reflect dreams and the Archetypal Characters explored through the method.

The guide is intended for individual therapy, group sessions and independent use. It will be available to purchase during the October 30 opening, while complimentary Psyche, Soma & Soul Cards will also be offered.

The point is not to produce polished artwork. The materials give participants a record they can revisit as their understanding of their own patterns changes.

What To Expect At The October 30 Opening

The launch announcement lists a 6 p.m. unveiling for a 16-foot pink neon sign. Visitors will also have a chance to see the completed dome and register for Thursday evening drop-in sessions planned for the fall.

There is a professional training component, too. Registration will open for an Intraspective Method practitioner programme scheduled for spring 2027. It has six spots for registered psychotherapists.

A clinical training manual will be on display during the opening. It is not being sold on its own; the announcement says it will be included with practitioner training registration.

The release does not specify launch admission, the full evening schedule or drop-in prices. Confirm those details with the clinic before visiting.

The Ossington Clinic Behind The Project

Mindful Maelstrom has operated at 91 Ossington Avenue since 2016. Before that, the building served as Dragnea’s family home for more than 40 years, a connection the clinic still highlights in its story.

The practice now brings together nearly 40 mental-health and wellness professionals. Its services include psychotherapy, counselling, massage therapy and acupuncture, among other forms of care.

The address sits in Little Portugal, one block north of Queen Street West. This new dome adds a dedicated space for group work to an established neighbourhood clinic.

The Intraspective Imaginarium is scheduled to open October 30 at 91 Ossington Avenue. For updates on the Thursday sessions and opening-day arrangements, see the project website or contact Mindful Maelstrom directly.
