Toronto Cocktail Festival Returns With Eight Days of Crawls, Pairings and a 30-Drink Gala
Toronto Cocktail Festival is returning for a second year with a format that turns the city into the venue. Running October 18 to 25, the 2026 program moves through Toronto bars, restaurants and event spaces with neighbourhood cocktail crawls, paired meals, guest shifts, seminars and nightly happy-hour programming.

The week’s anchor is the Gala of Cocktails on Friday, October 23 at Waterworks Event Hall. Around it, the official festival schedule offers smaller events that make it possible to choose a single tasting, follow a crawl or build a full week around Toronto’s bar scene.
The Gala centres the week at Waterworks
The Gala of Cocktails brings the festival’s biggest tasting under one roof. The four-hour event is set to feature more than 25 open-bar stations and at least 30 cocktails, with bartenders and spirits teams pouring throughout the evening. DJs and food from The Food Dudes round out the program.

VIP entry begins at 7 p.m. and includes an exclusive first hour with passed canapés. General admission begins at 8 p.m. Each ticket includes cocktail tastings and a food token for a plate of bite-sized canapés. Organizers describe the food as a light snack rather than dinner, so guests should plan accordingly.
The Gala is built for sampling, but pacing matters: the official ticket information notes that organizers can refuse service. Guests should bring identification, use transit or arrange a ride home, and check the ticket page for the current entry options before buying.
Opening day starts with brunch and a Little Italy crawl
The festival begins Sunday, October 18 with a cocktail-paired brunch at Casa Madera inside 1 Hotel Toronto. Chef Daniele Pisanu’s four-course menu comes with a welcome drink and pairings created by Justin Helie-Masters alongside guest Toronto bartenders and spirits representatives. The event runs from noon to 2:30 p.m.; the posted menu is subject to change.
Later that afternoon, the Little Italy Cocktail Crawl starts at Bar Raval at 3:30 p.m. before moving to Lonely Diner and Suite 115. The ticket includes three Boulard Brandy cocktails and a small bite at each stop. Bar Raval is also featured in Hungry 416’s guide to the best cocktail bars in Toronto, which is a useful primer for anyone planning extra stops around the festival.
Neighbourhood crawls spread the program across Toronto
Several crawls group nearby bars into a single ticket. On October 20, the Fashion District route begins at BarChef before heading to Civil Works and Goodnight Cocktail Club, with three Fernet-Branca cocktails and a bite at each stop. The Trinity-Bellwoods crawl follows on October 22, visiting Project Gigglewater, Compton Ave. and Bar Banane with Sheringham master distiller Jason MacIsaac.
Bloor Street West and Queen Street West crawls are also listed in the current program. These are timed, multi-stop events, so buyers should read the meeting point and start-time details carefully and arrive at the first venue early.
Seminars, happy hours and guest shifts fill the gaps
The 2026 schedule extends beyond ticketed tastings. Announced seminars include an absinthe masterclass, a session on managing micro-seasonality behind the bar and a talk on provincial liquor laws. Guest bartender events include a Hux Bar takeover at Lonely Diner and Borrowed Bartenders at Bar 915.
Cinq à Sept adds a lower-commitment option each day from October 18 to 25. Participating venues will run festival cocktails and food specials during their own designated hours. These events are not separately ticketed, though reservations may be recommended and each venue sets its timing. The official schedule will be the most reliable place to confirm additions or changes.
