Bike Share Toronto and Tangerine Map Out Food Stops for Soccer Fans
As Toronto continues to host soccer matches this summer, Bike Share Toronto and Tangerine Bank are giving visitors and locals another way to explore the city between games.
The partners have introduced a Bike Share Destination Map that highlights restaurants along bike-friendly routes across Toronto. The map takes inspiration from countries participating in this year’s soccer tournament, connecting the city’s food scene with match-day travel.
The idea gives riders a way to move through Toronto without relying on cars, taxis, or traffic-heavy routes during one of the city’s busiest sports periods.

A Food-Focused Route Through Toronto
Toronto’s restaurant scene reflects communities from around the world. During soccer season, that connection becomes even more relevant as fans look for places to eat before and after matches.

The Bike Share Destination Map points riders toward restaurants connected to global cuisines represented in the tournament. As a result, visitors can plan a route that combines food, neighbourhood stops, and game-day activity in one trip.
Instead of treating transportation as a separate part of the day, the map turns the ride itself into part of the outing.
Built for Visitors, Newcomers, and Locals

The map is useful for people who want to see more of Toronto beyond major venues and downtown crowds.
Visitors can use it to find food stops while learning the city by bike. Meanwhile, locals can use it as a reason to try restaurants outside their usual neighbourhoods.
The project also fits Toronto’s summer rhythm, when patios, parks, waterfront routes, and major events bring more people into the streets.
$40 Weekly Pass Available Until July 19

To support travel during the soccer period, Bike Share Toronto and Tangerine are offering a $40 Weekly Pass until July 19.
The pass includes seven days of unlimited 90-minute rides on classic bikes. For people attending games, meeting friends, or exploring restaurants across the city, it offers a lower-cost option for short trips.
In addition, the pass can help riders avoid parking searches and traffic delays around busy areas.
A Different Way to Follow the Tournament
The Bike Share Destination Map connects soccer, food, and city travel in a practical way.
Fans can build a day around a match, stop for food from a tournament country, and ride between neighbourhoods at their own pace. At the same time, the project supports local restaurants and encourages people to see more of Toronto during a major summer sports moment.
