The TIFF Industry Conference, running from September 6–10, 2024, promises to be an unmissable event for film professionals from around the globe. Held annually alongside the Toronto International Film Festival, this five-day conference is a cornerstone for networking, offering a prime platform for industry professionals to connect, learn, and explore the latest trends and innovations in cinema.

With over 140 sales titles featured in the Festival’s Official Selection, TIFF 2024 stands as a premier destination for buying and selling screen-based projects. The conference features 6 main pillars for events: Visionaries, Dialogues, Perspectives, Microsessions, Spotlights, and Meet the Decision Makers. Each of these pillars offer a unique approach for attendees to absorb a broad range of perspectives and expertise in the industry.

  • Sloan Science & Technology Project Pitch — Select creators have the opportunity to participate in this non-competitive pitch to further develop their science and technology-related film or episodic projects.
  • Sloan Science on Film Showcase — Daniela Forever is this year’s Showcase and features a Q&A with director Nacho Vigalondo and a scientific expert in lucid dreaming. Funding for these two programmes is provided by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation’s Public Understanding of Science and Technology program.
