Shake Shack Announces Three New Ontario Locations
Shake Shack is continuing its Ontario expansion with three new restaurants planned for Oakville, Burlington, and London. The burger chain says the new Shacks will bring its made-to-order menu to more communities.
The Oakville location is planned for 275 Hays Blvd, while the Burlington Shack will open at 4511 Dundas Street. Both are expected to welcome guests in 2026. Meanwhile, the London restaurant at 3275 Wonderland Road South is planned for 2027.
The announcement comes as Shake Shack Canada continues to grow its footprint after entering the Canadian market in 2024. The company currently has seven Ontario locations, alongside its first Alberta restaurant in Calgary.

Three New Shacks Are On the Way
For Oakville and Burlington residents, the expansion will make the brand’s burgers, fries, and shakes easier to reach without heading into Toronto. Here is what to know:
- Oakville: 275 Hays Blvd, opening in 2026
- Burlington: 4511 Dundas Street, opening in 2026
- London: 3275 Wonderland Road South, opening in 2027
- London Milestone: Ontario’s first Shake Shack with a drive-thru
- Menu: Burgers, chicken sandwiches, Veggie Shacks, crinkle-cut fries, shakes, and frozen custard
- Ingredients: 100% premium Canadian ingredients
- National Goal: At least 35 Shake Shack locations across Canada
Shake Shack Canada Business Director Billy Richmond said the three cities are an important part of the company’s growth plans.
“We’re thrilled to expand Shake Shack’s presence across Ontario, bringing our signature hospitality, quality ingredients and made-to-order favourites to more communities.”
He added that Oakville, Burlington, and London represent “exciting milestones” for the brand as it grows across the country.
London Will Get Ontario’s First Shake Shack Drive-Thru
The London restaurant stands out from the other two planned locations because it will include a drive-thru. That gives customers another option for picking up their meal, especially for commuters, families, and anyone looking for a quicker stop.

The drive-thru will not mean a different food experience. The location will continue to follow its made-to-order approach, with the same menu and focus on quality found at its other restaurants.
The move also follows Shake Shack Canada’s broader push into drive-thru dining. In June, the company announced that Calgary would become home to its first drive-thru in Canada, with that restaurant planned for Macleod Trail.
With London now planned as another drive-thru location, the format could become a more visible part of the chain’s Canadian growth strategy.
Expect the Shack Classics
The upcoming restaurants will serve the Shack classics that have helped build the brand’s following around the world.
The menu will include Angus beef burgers made with a 100% Canadian blend, Veggie Shacks made with real vegetables and grains, and crispy chicken sandwiches prepared with whole white meat.
Guests can order the chain’s familiar crinkle-cut fries, hand-spun shakes, and frozen custards. Shake Shack’s current Canadian locations list the Canadian Angus ShackBurger, chicken sandwiches, fries, shakes, and frozen custard among its core offerings.
Shake Shack Canada was formed in 2023 through a partnership between Osmington Inc. and Harlo Entertainment Inc. The partners originally announced plans to open 35 Shacks across Canada by 2035.
While opening dates have not yet been announced for the three restaurants, the expansion gives burger fans in the region another reason to keep an eye on what is coming next.
