T.O. Food and Drink Fest: Flavor, Fun, and Food Trucks

· · · · · ·

Toronto’s tastiest weekend is back. From April 11 to 13, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre will host the annual T.O. Food and Drink Fest. It’s three full days of eating, drinking, cooking, shopping, dancing, and learning—all under one roof. If you like trying new bites, sipping good drinks, and watching pro chefs do their thing, this event has a bit of everything.

Organizers have packed this year’s schedule with more than just food. They’ve brought in chefs, mixologists, DJs, and even a full-blown dance party. It’s a 19+ event, so expect adult beverages, a few surprises, and plenty of chances to dance between bites.

Top Chefs at the Festival

First, there’s the Chef’s Stage, where you’ll catch big names in the kitchen showing off their best techniques. Every demo is live, unfiltered, and full of energy. Highlights include:

  • Chef Noel Cunningham and Chef Tre Sanderson sharing bold Caribbean flavors
  • Chefs Cody and Samantha Carroll serving Southern Cajun dishes
  • Chef Javon Cummins bringing a taste of Barbados
  • Raquel Fox, Afrim Pristine, and Andrea Buckett sharing top tips and recipes
  • Chef Devan Rajkumar, mixing fun and flavor with every dish

Wine Tastings and Cocktail Classes

While chefs handle the heat, top mixologists lead hands-on cocktail classes. Attendees can learn to mix crowd-pleasers and experiment with new flavors. Then there’s Wines of the World, where you can sample international pours, chat with winemakers, and get wine-savvy in a relaxed setting.

Of course, no food festival is complete without food trucks. This year’s Flavour Street is backed by Food Truck Canada and brings a serious lineup. Expect everything from gourmet tacos and grilled cheese to loaded fries and global street food. If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to run a food truck, you can even step inside their showcase truck and try your hand at it.

When the food settles, the party starts. Throughout the weekend, DJs will spin live sets. On Friday and Saturday night, the venue shifts into Sips n’ Spurs, a Western-themed dance party. It’s boots, beats, and plenty of line dancing.

Jason R., who attended last year’s event, added, “The music and food combo made it the best night out I’ve had in a while. The chefs really brought it. I tried dishes I never would’ve ordered on my own.”

The T.O. Food and Drink Fest isn’t just for foodies. It’s for anyone who wants a good time filled with flavor, learning, and music. Whether you’re there to eat, sip, dance, or just walk around and browse, there’s plenty to check out.
